In April 2002, the Co-operative
development agency became an
integral part of BRAVE Enterprise
Agency Ltd. The CDA section
retains its CDA identity and
continues to specialise in Cooperative
Development within
the former Avon area. The CDA
has helped hundreds of people
set up co-operative or employee owned
businesses. They often
work with people who have
recently been made redundant,
are unemployed or feel dissatisfied
with their current job. Whatever
the reason, the CDA provides
practical advice and support to a
growing number of people who
have worked together in the past,
share complementary skills and
trust each other. They often find
that an employee-owned business
structure will enable them ‘to go
it alone’ without any one person
